Calling on all black bikers and black motorcycle clubs please keep your eyes and ears open for Mitrice Richardson. She is 24 years old and went missing after being released from the Malibu police station at about 1 a.m. Thursday September 17th.
The location where she was released is in the remote Malibu canyon area. When they released her she didn't have a car, I.D, cell phone, money and they gave no assistance. This young sister hasn't been in any trouble and an honor graduate from Cal State Fullerton. The Malibu Sheriff's Office should have treated her better than they did.
The unfortunate thing for African Americans living in Southern California we are the minority and on any given day we're treated that way. Los Angeles County Sheriff Lee Baca has ordered a homicide investigation into her disappearance due to persistence from the community.
Mitrice suffers from mental health issues so it is a cry out from the community to find her. During the investigation they found contents in her diaries that led them to believe that a few days before she was arrested; Mitrice didn't pay her bill at a Malibu restaurant. It is apparent that she had a mental breakdown because she had gone without sleep for as many as five nights. Mitrice suffers with bipolar disorder.
Her family wants everyone to be aware that her appearance may be different from the photos you see. Any person having any information related to this crime is requested to call Detectives Chuck Knolls or Steve Eguchi at the Los Angeles Police Department at (213) 485-2531 and refer to Report No. 09-1820882.
Help us find her.
